SA Motorcycle Racer AJ Venter Ready for Isle of Man TT Campaign

South African motorcycle racer AJ Venter has secured a major sponsorship deal worth R4.2 million over the next three years courtesy of FuturExotics.

In the world of two-wheeled motorsport, it is often Brad Binder that comes to mind for South African heroes but brimming with talent, AJ Venter will be taking on one of the most gruelling and dangerous races in the world…

The R4.2 million investment by FuturExotics is a step in the right direction for South African motorsport as a whole with Venter now being the only African rider competing in the iconic Isle of Man Tourist Trophy (TT). The partnership arrives just ahead of the 2025 Isle of Man TT, scheduled to run from 31 May to 7 June. This means that Venter will represent South Africa as the country’s sole entry in what is widely considered one of the world’s most demanding and dangerous road races. The support from FuturExotics will bolster his efforts as he takes on this formidable challenge aboard a specially prepared 2024 BMW S 1000 RR superbike.

The bike itself has undergone a thorough transformation by Venter’s specialist RACE team. Performance upgrades include K-Tech suspension front and rear, a fairing kit, and a quick-action throttle setup. The team also fitted the bike with Mototec software and a GPS system, which plays a crucial role in analysing on-track performance. Additional changes include a lightweight lithium battery, an extended 24-litre fuel tank with an upgraded cap for quicker refuelling, and various race-specific modifications.

This level of investment brings some much-needed spotlight to the local motorsport scene, especially as AJ Venter continues to push boundaries internationally. Competing at the Isle of Man TT is a feat on its own, but doing so with support from home not only lifts the profile of the sport in South Africa, it also creates opportunities for broader recognition. With the financial backing from FuturExotics and Zunaid Moti now in place, Venter and his team can focus fully on preparing for the upcoming TT.
